
Expon leads €2m round for Nektria
Luxembourg-based venture capital firm Expon Capital has led a €2m funding round for Spanish startup Nektria.
The deal also saw several industrial backers take part. At the time of publication, no further details had been disclosed.
The company will use the fresh capital to strengthen its presence in Belgium, Germany, the UK, France and the Netherlands, as well as double its team of 10 by the end of 2017.
Expon currently manages two vehicles, Digital Tech Fund and Expon I Fund.
Company
Based in Barcelona, Nektria was founded in 2012 and develops the RecShipping software product, which focuses on last-mile delivery management, including shipping logistic services, fleet management, cost efficiency and pricing. The product aims to optimise the pricing process as well as the delivery service itself.
The company employs 10 people and expects to generate €800,000 in revenues in 2017.
