
Primomiglio leads €1.5m round for Codemotion
Italian venture capital house Primomiglio has led a €1.5m funding round for IT training company Codemotion.
Primomiglio invested in the round through its Barcamper Ventures vehicle. State-backed co-investment fund manager Invitalia Ventures and listed venture house LVenture Group also took part.
Following the funding round, the business will aim to use the fresh capital to expand internationally. Barcamper partner Gianluca Dettori will take a seat on the company's board of directors.
Company
Founded in 2013, Codemotion provides computer training services and organises conferences for IT professionals and businesses.
The company also launched a technology-focused school with eight venues in Italy and focused on robotics, electronics and programming software for younger generations, called Codemotion Kids.
Headquartered in Rome, Codemotion currently has a presence in Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
