HIG sells Tres60 via trade sale to Mediapro
HIG Europe, the European arm of private equity house HIG Capital, has sold Spanish audio visual services business Tres60 Grupo to media group Mediapro.
The transaction sees the GP fully exit the business after five-year holding period.
Under the GP's tenure the company has grown via the bolt-on of Monal Group, a French media production company, in April 2015. The consolidated business, formerly known as Vértice 360º, was subsequently rebranded as Tres60.
According to local press reports, the GP started looking for a potential buyer for Tres60 in January 2017.
Financial details surrounding the deal have not been disclosed and HIG was not available to comment at the time of the publication.
Previous funding
Tres60 first received private equity backing in February 2009, when Thesan Capital took an 8.61% stake in audio visual company Vértice 360º, a subsidiary of public telecommunications and infrastructure business Avánzit, in an €8.7m deal.
HIG Europe subsequently acquired a 49.99% stake in the business for €16m in October 2012.
Company
Tres60 provides services and equipment related to audio visual production, post-production and advertising. The business primarily focuses on broadcast television and live events.
Based in Madrid, Tres60 posted €40m in revenues and €5.5m in EBITDA in 2015, according to Spanish publication Expansion.
