Miura buys Equipe Cerámicas
Miura Private Equity has acquired a majority stake in Spanish tiles specialist Equipe Cerámicas.
Unquote understands that a debt package to finance the transaction was provided by Banco Santander with the participation of CaixaBank and Banca March.
According to a statement, the current minority shareholders, the Vila family, will continue to lead the management team in this new phase of expansion.
The company plans to boost its growth both organically and through selective acquisitions, and expects to double its production in the coming years.
To finance the acquisition, the GP deployed capital from its Miura Fund II, which held a final close on its €200m hard-cap in September 2014 and is now mostly deployed. Miura has recently held a final close for its third fund on its €330m hard-cap.
