Inveready leads €1.4m round for SamyRoad
Spanish VC house Inveready has led a €1.4m funding round for Madrid-based startup SamyRoad.
Unquote understands that the VC house deployed capital from its Inveready Venture Finance II fund, which held a final close on €23m in 2016.
Sabadell Venture Capital, the VC division of Banco Sabadell, also took part in the investment.
SamyRoad will use the fresh capital to bolster its international expansion in Latin America – primarily in Argentina and Brazil – and in Europe, starting with France.
Previous funding
SamyRoad raised €3m from Barcelona-based VC firm Caixa Capital Risc in 2014. Several private investors, including the Bulgari family and business angels such as Jesús Olmos, also took part.
In addition, the company received funds from the state-backed Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology, a programme that supports the technological development and innovation of Spanish companies.
