PEP's IDB bolts on Saba Italia
Interior design platform Italian Design Brands (IDB), backed by Private Equity Partners (PEP), has acquired luxury furniture designer Saba Italia.
The financing for the transaction was provided by Unicredit.

The consortium backed an MBO for furniture manufacturer Gervasoni in May 2015 and subsequently bolted on interior designer Meridiani in 2016, furniture business Cenacchi International in 2017 and lighting designer Davide Groppi in 2018.
Company
Established in 1987 and based in Padua, Saba Italia is a luxury furniture designer. The company works with several famous stylists and artists, including fashion designer Antonio Marras, to develop its catalogues and collections. The business generated revenues of €13m in 2017.
