
Goldman Sachs leads $28m round for Unicaf
Goldman Sachs has led a $28m series-B funding round for Unicaf, a Cyprus-headquartered organisation offering higher education scholarships to African students.
The fresh funding will enable the organisation to increase its number of available scholarships to more than 100,000 and open five new campuses across Africa.
University Ventures also took part in the round alongside UK-government-backed CDC Group and University of Nicosia founder Edex.

Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Larnaca, Unicaf provides scholarship programmes to African students enabling them to earn online undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications from partner universities in the UK, US, continental Europe and Africa.
