Invitalia Ventures, Primomiglio lead €3m round for Brandon
Italian VC firms Invitalia Ventures and Primomiglio have led a €3m funding round for e-commerce specialist Brandon Group.
Invitalia deployed capital from its Italia Venture I fund, which closed on €87m in October 2017.
Sella Ventures (the VC arm of Banca Sella), e-commerce specialist Sinergenis, logistics expert Ecilog and private investor Fabio Cannavale (via his investment holding Vulcano) also took part in the funding round.
Following the deal, Invitalia Ventures CEO Sergio Buonanno and Primomiglio CEO Antonio Concolino will join the company's board to support the management in this new phase of growth.
Brandon intends to use the fresh capital to further develop its technology platform, consolidate its market position and scale up its team.
According to a statement, the company expects to raise a new funding round from international investors in the coming months.
