
Innogest leads €1.5m round for MioAssicuratore
VC house Innogest Capital has led a €1.5m funding round for Italy-based online insurance broker MioAssicuratore.
Previous backer Pi Campus, an Italian venture fund focused on early-stage companies, also took part in the investment.
The startup plans to use the fresh capital to consolidate its position in the Italian online casualty insurance market, further develop its machine learning technology and restyle its website and logo to improve its users' experience.

The startup received a seed round of €300,000 from H-Farm and Pi Campus in 2016.

Founded in 2015 and based in Rome, MioAssicuratore is an online insurance broker that specialises in property, casualty, health, travel and car insurance. The platform offers the possibility to compare 125 different insurance policies and buy them online.
The business has partnership agreements with 35 insurance companies and counts 240,000 registered users.
