
Crane Venture leads $3m funding round for Stratio
London-based Crane Venture Partners has led a $3m funding round for Portuguese startup Stratio Automotive, with participation from LocalGlobe.
The company intends to use the fresh capital to further expand across Europe and the US.
Company
Established in 2015, Stratio Automotive applies AI, machine learning and data analysis to automotive engineering in order to detect vehicles' early faults, defects and performance issues, spot anomalies in automotive components and determine their root cause.
The company is headquartered in Coimbra, Portugal, with additional offices in Spain, the UK and California. It employs 50 staff and counts German mechanical engineering company Man, truck manufacturer Daf Trucks and transport specialist Vectia among its customers.
