Nauta Capital leads €3m series-A for World Mastery
Pan-European venture capital firm Nauta Capital has led a €3m series-A funding round for Barcelona-based education platform World Mastery.
The company intends to use the fresh financing to further develop its platform and accelerate its international expansion.
Nauta deployed capital from its €155m Nauta IV Tech Invest fund. The vehicle targets European software, tech and digital companies and deploys equity tickets in the €1-7m range.
Company
Founded in 2016, World Mastery offers an online education platform which provides courses for professionals in various subjects including sport, dance, yoga, fitness, cooking and hairstyle. Users can access more than 25 hours of videos per course as well as tools to monitor their progress and performance.
The courses are delivered by renowned experts in their fields, such as tennis coach Toni Nadal, basketball coach Božidar Maljković and hair stylist Kim Kimble. The company is based in Barcelona, employs 50 staff and has more than 10,0000 customers across 105 countries, including the US, Spain, Italy, Mexico and France.
