Ufenau buys refrigeration specialist R&M
Ufenau Capital Partners has acquired a majority stake in Diseño y Mantenimiento de Plantas Frigoríficas (R&M), an industrial refrigeration specialist based in Valencia.
The founders and former owners of R&M will reinvest significantly in the company and continue to lead the business.
Following the deal, Ufenau intends to ensure the continuity of R&M's current operations and boost its growth, both organically and via new acquisitions.
Ufenau is a Swiss private equity firm dedicated to investments in the education, lifestyle, business services, healthcare and financial services sectors.
The GP is currently investing via its sixth fund, which held a final close on €560m in March 2019. The vehicle focuses on majority investments in companies with revenues of €15-150m, primarily based across the DACH region.
This is the first investment made by the firm in Spain.

Headquartered in Valencia, R&M, previously known as APR, specialises in the design, installation and maintenance of industrial refrigeration projects across Spain, mainly for companies active in the food and logistics sectors.
Employing 70 staff, the business operates two production facilities located in Valencia and Madrid, and generates annual revenues of around €30m.
