
CornerJob raises $10m series-A from Bonsai et al.
Barcelona-based startup CornerJob, has raised $10m in a series-A round from Bonsai Venture Capital and several other investors.
Other investors in the round include Antai Business Angels, Mediaset España, Banc Sabadell Capital, Cube Investments, Ithaca Investment, La Caixa Capital Risc and Media Digital Ventures.
The platform, first launched in Italy last September, has now expanded its business to France, Spain and Mexico. The company will use the fresh capital to consolidate its market, as well as to expand into other countries, unquote" understands.
The European agency ENISA provided an undisclosed amount of debt to support the equity injection.
CornerJob intends to improve its candidate-employer matching process using data-based intelligence by analysing usage of the platform. Speaking to the media, CornerJob'c so-founder Miguel Vicente said the company has TV ads running in Italy and intends to launch a TV campaign in Spain.
In January 2016, CornerJob's biggest competitor, Job Today, raised a $10m series-A from Accel. Job Today is based in Spain and recently launched its product in Paris and London.

Founded in April 2015 and headquartered in Barcelona, CornerJob has developed a job-matching app that enables users to find job offers, apply and chat with the recruiters, ensuring an answer from them within 24 hours.
The company operates with offices in 10 countries across southern Europe, North and South America and claims to publish 3,000 job offers every week in several sectors, including food, tourism, retail, logistics and manufacturing.
