
Liautaud named managing partner at Balderton

Bernard Liautaud has been named as Balderton Capital’s first ever managing partner.
Liautaud joined Balderton in June 2008 as general partner. Since then he has worked on deals including Citymapper, Talend, Vestiare Collective, Recorded Future, Sunrise and Qubit.
In his new role as managing partner, Liautaud will lead the operational and management functions of the firm, while continuing to invest in the European early-stage technology sector.
Prior to joining Balderton, Liautaud founded Business Objects in 1990, where he was CEO for 15 years and latterly chair until it was acquired by SAP for $6.8bn in 2008.
