Ropes & Gray hires Travers Smith's Croke as partner

Legal firm Ropes & Gray has appointed Travers Smith’s Helen Croke as a partner in its London office.
Croke leaves her role as partner in the private equity and M&A team at Travers Smith after spending 17 years with the firm.
The latest appointment to the Ropes & Gray London office brings its total number of private equity partners to five. It comes two years after the firm hired Travers Smith’s former head of private equity, Phil Sanderson.
Prior to leaving Travers Smith, Croke recently advised JMI Equity on its investment in Cork-based enterprise software company CoreHR, a deal that marked the US GP’s second investment in the UK and Ireland region.
Ropes & Gray’s recent European private equity activity includes advising Nordic Capital on its acquisition of eResearchTechnology and representing 3i on its secondary buyout of Audley Travel from Equistone.
