UBS hires BAML's MacKenzie as MD
UBS has hired Bruce MacKenzie as managing director in its EMEA leveraged capital markets division.
MacKenzie will focus on both loans and high-yield bonds and report directly to co-head of leveraged finance David Slade.
Prior to joining UBS, MacKenzie was head of leveraged finance capital markets at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML), where he advised on LBOs and worked on a range of products including high-yield bonds, leveraged loans, second lien, private placements, bridge loans and acquisition financing. Before joining BAML in 2011, MacKenzie worked for Deutsche Bank in a similar role.
This is the second hire UBS has made to its leveraged capital markets division after recently appointing Credit Suisse's vice-president of leveraged finance Damien Hedderwick as director.
UBS recently acted as bookrunner on both liens of Bain and Cinven's acquisition debt for the takeover of German pharmaceutical company Stada.
