Mayfair promotes Curwen and Hoballah
UK private equity house Mayfair Equity Partners has promoted Rob Curwen to managing director and Yusuf Hoballah to director.
The development comes three months after the GP held a final close for its sophomore fund, Mayfair Equity Partners Fund II, on its £650m hard-cap.
Curwen, who joined Mayfair four years ago, is promoted from the role of portfolio director. Prior to joining the firm, he spent six years at LDC – leaving his position as head of the value enhancement group in 2014 – and three years at Alix Partners.
Hoballah joined Mayfair in 2017 and is promoted from his role as associate director on the deal-making and portfolio management teams. He has worked on transactions including the buyouts of bakery company Promise Gluten Free, and telecoms and IT business GCI Managed Services. Prior to joining the GP, he spent three years at Morgan Stanley Private Equity, where he graduated from private equity associate to vice-president.
Mayfair currently has a headcount of 23 and the firm said in a statement that it intends to increase its headcount as it builds its portfolio.
