LPeC appoints Botwood Smith as CEO
UK-based Listed Private Capital (LPeC), a trade body for listed private equity, has appointed Deborah Botwood Smith as its new chief executive.
Botwood Smith is also currently on the board of trustees of disability charity ADD International and of the Global Media Campaign to End FGM, and is a board member at the Andan Foundation, a Swiss foundation leading private sector initiatives to develop sustainable solutions for refugees.
Prior to joining the firm, Botwood Smith was director of external relations and director of marketing at the Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME), the trade body for banks operating in Europe's wholesale financial markets.
Previously, she was a managing director at alternative investment firm Investcorp, where she had global responsibility for corporate communications and stakeholder engagement for the firm's private equity, hedge fund and real estate investments.
Before that, Botwood Smith was director of corporate communications at Coutts Group and head of corporate relations for EMEA at Visa International.
LPeC is an international platform providing a network for listed private capital firms, including listed private equity, debt, infrastructure and multi-asset managers.
