AlbionVC hires Gilmartin from McKinsey
AlbionVC, a venture capital firm focused on health technology, has hired Molly Gilmartin from McKinsey, where she focused on healthcare systems and technology for two years.
Gilmartin will work with Andrew Elder and Christoph Ruedig on early-stage healthcare investments.
She was also the chief commercial officer of London-listed Induction Healthcare for two years, on NHS England's clinical entrepreneur programme, and is a founding member of Pando, an AlbionVC portfolio company. Pando is a messaging and workflow tool for doctors.
AlbionVC is a long-term investor focused on B2B software, healthcare and "deep-tech". Its current portfolio includes 15 health technology companies that span digital care, GP and hospital solutions, data aggregation, and decentralised clinical trials.
It invests through the UCL Technology Fund vehicle in collaboration with UCL Business, an offshoot of the University Colleague London NHS Foundation Trust.
The VC held a first close for UCL Technology Fund 2 in July 2020.
The firm says that in addition to its investment team, it is building out its platform offering with the hiring of four new team members.
