
Gresham House announces five senior promotions

Growth equity investor Gresham House Ventures has made five senior promotions within its investment team.
Maya Ward and Rowan Grobler to Investment Directors, while Matt Jones and Mackenzi Travers have been promoted to investment manager, and James Hendry to associate director.
Ward joined the firm in 2019 and has led investments across an array of businesses in the digital healthcare and pharmaceutical services sectors and is also active on the boards of several investee companies, according to a press release. Prior to joining Gresham House, Ward was at Octopus Healthcare.
Rowan Grobler, Gresham House Ventures
Grobler has been with the Mobeus Venture Capital Trust team, a company acquired by Gresham House in September 2021, since 2018. He led the investment in Connect Childcare, a nursery management system company, and the follow-on funding round for ActiveNav, a data privacy company.
Matt Jones, Gresham House Ventures
Jones joined Gresham House in 2021 and has worked on transactions focusing on the B2B SaaS sectors. He works on the entire investment process with a particular focus on London, Ireland, and the North East of England, according to a press release.
Mackenzie Travers, Gresham House Ventures
Travers joined in 2019 and focuses on the consumer technology, media, consumer and marketing sectors. He was previously at BDO for more than four years working as an executive in the TMT M&A team for over two years.
James Hendry, Gresham House Ventures
Hendry, who joined Gresham in 2019, was previously at PwC for over five years.
Gresham House has recently raised a further GBP 75m for the Baronsmead VCTs and GBP 35m for Mobeus VCTs, according to a press release. The firm is looking to further grow and said that recruitment plans are underway this year across a range of areas. The VC had a total AUM of GBP 898m in January 2022. The focus of the firm is on software and digital companies operating in the healthcare, service, consumer sectors.
