Pemberton launches NAV financing strategy with new hire

European alternative credit specialist Pemberton has hired Thomas Doyle to lead its newly formed net asset value financing strategy.
In his new role, Doyle will use Pemberton’s international scale, source channels and credit underwriting expertise to develop a new offer for borrowers and investors, according to a press release.
The NAV financing strategy is a continuation of the firm’s direct lending products and credit expertise. It targets a portfolio of the same underlying companies but at a later stage in the private equity cycle to offer investors exposure to a growing area of the market.
With the strategy, Pemberton will continue to partner with private equity houses to provide flexible capital for their, LPs, fund vehicles, and management companies. Before joining Pemberton, Doyle was a partner at 17Capital for over three years where he oversaw NAV loans. Prior to that, he was a managing director at JP Morgan for over five years for the EMEA region. Previously he was global head of fund derivatives at KBC Financial Products.
