Lyceum-backed Carewatch stages two build-up operations
Lyceum Capital has acquired both Always There Homecare and Four Seasons, two healthcare providers, as a build-up operation for its portfolio company Carewatch. The deal makes it a total of eight Lyceum-backed acquisitions for the company in the past 12 months. The company plans to make further acquisitions in 2010.
Carewatch is a provider of home-based social care to elderly, mental health clients and people with learning or physical disabilities. Carewatch currently has a 147-strong branch network and a turnover of GBP 34m.
Carewatch was established in 1993 and was acquired by Nestor in 1998. The company was acquired by Lyceum from Nestor Healthcare Group plc for GBP 37m in October 2008.
