HgCapital Trust seeks funds
HgCapital Trust, the LSE-listed investment trust of European investor HgCapital, may be looking to raise additional capital from investors. The trust is trading at around a 10% discount, with a share price of 830 pence, and may replenish coffers by placing a new ordinary share offering with subscription shares attached. Existing shareholders would be able to participate in any bonus issue of these.
If approved by shareholders, the issuance will be priced at prevailing market conditions.
The listed trust's parent, HgCapital is close to a final close of almost £2bn for its sixth buyout fund, above its original target.
