
3i’s Hague joins LDC

LDC has appointed Gordon Hague as investment director; he joins from 3i, where he was a director in the private equity and infrastructure divisions.
In his previous role at 3i, Hague was responsible for the UK general and industrials market, where he focused on targeting businesses across the north of England. As well as deal origination, Hague was also involved in execution, managing investments, commercial assessment and performance responsibility. He also took board seats on investee companies.
Hague played a role in a number of 3i's mid-market deals, including engineering business Aesseal, data centre business Telecity and builders merchant MKM. He has also worked on cross-sector investments including outdoor retailer Go Outdoors and B2B insurance broker Hyperion.
Prior to joining 3i in 1988, Hague spent five years at Arthur Anderson & Co, where he specialised in audit, financial due diligence and fraud investigations.
Hague holds a degree in biochemistry from Bath University and is a qualified chartered accountant.
