Electra commits £19m to CVC’s new CLO
Electra Partners, on behalf of Electra Private Equity, has invested £19m in Cordatus Loan Fund VI, CVC Credit Partners’ latest CLO fund.
Cordatus is a €400m CLO, targeting leveraged loans issued primarily by private-equity-backed companies in Europe. The vehicle has a 13-year lifespan and will look to invest in 100 individual credits.
The investment follows Electra's £13m commitment in Tymon Park's CLO in December 2015.
Electra managing partner Alex Fortescue said in a statement that CVC Credit Partners is "one of the best performing CLO managers", and that the partnership fits with the debt element of Electra's investment strategy. Furthermore, the bulk of returns will be delivered as cash yield.
