
Maven invests £2.5m in The GP Service
Maven Capital Partners has invested £2.5m in The GP Service (GPS), an online provider of general medical consultations and prescriptions.
The fresh funding will be used to support the roll out of the company's services in new locations and to develop further products.
Company
The GP Service operates an online platform to deliver live GP consultations via video link. Prescriptions can be issued to a pharmacy of the user's choice. The service operates daily from 7am to 8pm and is aimed at people who are unable to visit a doctor or obtain a prescription within traditional surgery opening hours.
The company was launched in 2015 by a group of independent pharmacists and is based in Leicester.
