Livingbridge backs Southern Communications
British mid-market GP Livingbridge has invested in UK-based telecommunications firm Southern Communications.
The deal sees Livingbridge take a minority stake in the business, as a means to help finance the company's growth plans.
In addition to the equity investment, the transaction also involves a new £36m loan facility provided by HSBC and Santander.
Existing CEO Paul Bradford will remain at the helm of the company and will be joined by former TalkTalk CEO David Goldie, who has been appointed as the new chair of Southern Communication's board.

Founded in 1965, Southern Communications is a provider of fixed-line, data, mobile and cloud telecoms services to SMEs.
The company claims to be the oldest telco in the UK and had turnover of £30m last year. It employs a staff of 160.
