
MML’s CH&Co merges with Brookwood, Absolutely Catering
Catering business CH&Co Group, backed by MML Capital, has merged with The Brookwood Partnership and its sister company Absolutely Catering.
Following the deal, the newly combined company will generate turnover of £200m, employ 6,000 people and provide catering across 600 sites in the UK.
Prior to the deal, CH&Co operated some contacts in the independent and state school catering sector. This transaction is expected to provide the business with a much larger foothold in the space.
Previous funding
CH&Co was formed in June 2015 when MML invested £17m to support the merger of CH&Co and HCM, in return for a significant minority stake, according to unquote" data.
Company
Founded in 1996, Brookwood focuses on the education catering sector. It specialises in putting chefs back into school kitchens and producing modern food for pupils. The business acquired the educational contracts from Graysons Education in 2013.
Brookwood's sister business Absolutely Catering focuses on publicly funded schools.
Both companies are headquartered in Surrey and operate an additional office in Huddersfield.
