Beringea leads $4m round for Poq
Beringea has led a $4m series-A funding round for Poq, a British developer of e-commerce apps.
Existing backers Seedcamp and Venrex also took part in the round, which will fund the expansion of Poq's development team.
The company said the fresh capital would also enable it to expand internationally outside of Europe.
The deal marks Beringea's fourth UK investment of 2016. Earlier this year, the firm invested £2.5m in search engine optimisation platform Linkdex, led a £4m funding round for men's styling service Thread.com and took part in a $25m series-B for adtech company Blis.
Company
Founded in 2011 and headquartered in London, Poq develops e-commerce apps. Its software also tracks users' behaviour, both in-app and in-store, to inform retailers' strategy.
Poq's clients include House of Fraser, Missguided, Liberty, Holland & Barrett and Made.com. The company said its revenues grew by 600% in the past year.
