
Amadeus and Beringea in £2m round for ContactEngine
Amadeus Capital Partners and Beringea have invested £2m in ContactEngine, a UK-based automated customer service company.
Amadeus and Beringea have each invested £1m in the funding round, which will fund the company's expansion across Europe, North America and South America. The business will also invest in new product development.
The transaction marks Beringea's fourth deal of 2016. In July it led a $4m series-A funding round for Poq, a developer of e-commerce apps. Amadeus most recently led a $2.7m round for FiveAI, a developer of 3D mapping software for use in autonomous vehicles.

Founded in 2009 and headquartered in London, ContactEngine develops automated customer service platforms. It provides products across multiple channels including SMS, telephone and email.
ContactEngine has additional operations in Italy, Germany and Brazil. Its clients include Whirlpool, Virgin Media, Sky, Telecom Italia and British Gas.
