Maven invests £3.1m in Hotel Indigo
Maven Capital Partners has invested ТЃ3.1m for Hotel Indigo Cardiff in addition to its initial investment in the company.
Funding for the project includes £1.6m of equity from a syndicate of investors including high-net-worth individuals, wealth managers and family offices, with the remaining £1.5m provided as debt.
The additional capital adds to Maven's existing investment of £13.75m. The GP hopes the proposed extension and reconfiguration enabled by the investment will add £4m to the sale value of the hotel. An additional 22 rooms will be created, bringing the total number to 122.
Construction work on the hotel is ongoing, with the GP expecting the completion date in April 2017.
Company
Hotel Indigo is the boutique hotel brand of InterContinental Hotels, with 60 Indigo Hotels worldwide. The chain's hotels in Glasgow and Durham are also part of Maven's investment portfolio. Hotel Indigo Cardiff will be managed by Redefine BDL Hotels.
