BGF backs Decision Tech's bolt-on of SellMyMobile.com
Business Growth Fund (BGF) portfolio company Decision Tech has acquired SellMyMobile.com, a UK-based price comparison site for buying and selling used mobile phones.
The GP provided funding to support the deal, which will enable Decision Tech to consolidate its share of the online price comparison market for mobile phones.
The deal marks the company's second acquisition since BGF's initial investment. In 2013, it bolted on mobile handset and tariff comparison website The Right Group. It also owns Schlaubi.de and Broadbandchoices.co.uk, which operate in Germany and the UK respectively.
Additionally, Decision Tech sells analytics software to price comparison brands including GoCompare.com and Confused.com. The company generated EBITDA of £2.2m in the latest financial year.
BGF investor Mark Nunny said in a statement that the company would continue to pursue "further organic and acquisitive growth".
Previous funding
BGF first invested in Decision Tech (at the time known as Broadbandchoices.co.uk) in October 2012, providing £10m to support the company's international expansion plans.
Company
Headquartered in London and founded in 2010, SellMyMobile.com is an online comparison site for buying and selling used mobile phones.
