
Beringea leads £3m series-A for Honeycomb
Beringea has led a £3m series-A funding round for British video advertising distribution company Honeycomb.
A consortium of angel investors also took part in the round, which brings the total amount raised by the company to £4m.
The fresh capital will enable Honeycomb to undertake an international expansion strategy, having identified 11 markets including the US in which to expand.
Beringea has a track record of investing in the UK adtech and online media space. In 2016 alone, it has taken part in a $25m series-B for portfolio company Blis and a £5m investment in television streaming platform TVPlayer.

Founded in 2015 and headquartered in London, Honeycomb is a cloud-based video advertising distribution platform. It automates elements of the ordering and submission process to both online sites and broadcasters. The business, which was founded by the co-founders of Adstream, has an additional office in Frankfurt and operates in the UK, Irish, German, Austrian and Dutch markets.
