
Rockpool invests £3m in Knomo
EIS fund manager Rockpool Investments has led a £3m funding round for British bag manufacturer Knomo.
Following the deal, Knomo will undertake international expansion, with a particular emphasis on increasing its US sales.
The business has also appointed Fred Edwards, formerly of Hummus Brothers and OneCall24, as chief operating officer, and Simon Wilkinson, formerly of Dr Martens and Charles Tyrwhitt, as digital director.
Company
Founded in 2004 and headquartered in London, Knomo manufactures laptop bags and backpacks, with a focus on accommodating tech items including laptops and tablets. As it secured the latest funding round, the company, which also produces smartphone cases, has announced distribution deals with US retailers Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue and Anthropologie.
