BGF and Beringea invest £4.5m in Firefly Learning
Business Growth Fund (BGF) has led a £4.5m series-A funding round for online educational platform Firefly Learning.
BGF contributed £3m to the round with Beringea also taking part.
The fresh capital will enable the business to undertake a recruitment drive within its marketing and sales teams in London and Sydney. Firefly is looking to double its headcount and is aiming to ramp up its international sales, with a particular focus on the Australian market.
The transaction marks BGF's second investment in the education space in H2 2016. In August, the firm invested £10m in children's nurseries business Kids Planet.
