Foresight invests in Ekkosense
Foresight Private Equity has invested in UK-based Ekkosense, a provider of software and sensors for use in industrial-scale electronics.
Financial details of the transaction are undisclosed, though the firm typically invests £1-5m in buyouts and expansion deals.
The fresh capital will enable the company to develop new and existing products, with a focus on Internet-of-Things technology.
The deal marks the fifth investment by Foresight in the space of one month, with the GP most recently investing a seven-figure sum in sports clothing company Player Layer.

Founded in 2013, Nottingham-headquartered Ekkosense develops software and sensors for use in data centres, server rooms, power transmission sites, solar plants and with telecommunications equipment. Its products are designed to increase equipment efficiency and generate energy savings.
