Ventech joins DN Capital in Hostmaker round
French VC Ventech has joined previous backer DN Capital in a £5m round for UK-based Airbnb management company Hostmaker.
The latest round brings the total amount of funding raised by Hostmaker to date to £7.5m. In November 2015, DN Capital led a $2m funding round for the company, which provides hospitality management services to Airbnb hosts. In September last year, it closed a $1m seed funding round led by Initial Capital with participation from DN Capital and DSG Consumer Partners.
French VC Ventech has expanded its geographic reach in recent years, opening further European offices in Munich and Helsinki. The VC recently led a €9.25m series-B funding round for Swedish adtech startup Freespee alongside three other investors in November last year.
DN raised €144m for its third European venture and growth capital fund, GVC III, in 2014. The UK-based venture capital firm started raising commitments for its fourth vehicle, GVC IV, last year and is targeting a €200m close.
