Amadeus, Oxx back merger of Relayware and Zift
Amadeus Capital, Oxx and Albion Ventures have backed the merger of portfolio company Relayware with US-based marketing software company Zift Solutions.
The company will raise around €40m in expansion capital as a result of the merger, according to a source close to the situation.
The transaction was managed by Oxx, which has taken over management of some Amadeus portfolio companies.
Oxx was founded by former Amadeus partners Mikael Johnsson and Richard Anton in January 2017. They are in the process of raising a fund at Oxx but currently manage their former investments on behalf of Amadeus.
The new company will employ around 200 people and has a client base of 100 firms, mostly technology and manufacturing companies.
Previous funding
Albion led a £3.5m funding round for Relayware in September 2013 with the goal of accelerating growth and technological innovation. Albion then provided a second venture round for around $1.4m before Clydesdale Bank provided a $3.6m debt refinancing in December 2015. Amadeus then invested alongside Albion in an $11m fourth round in May 2016.

Relayware was founded in 2007 in Oxford. The company provides communication and partner relationship management software and services to businesses.
