
YFM backs Friska with £3m
UK-based private equity firm YFM Equity Partners has invested £3m in Bristol-based healthy fast food restaurant Friska.
The funding will be used to expand the restaurant chain brand in other cities across the UK. Friska aims to double its number of outlets within the next three years. Alongside the investment, former Wagamama CEO Steve Hill will join the board as non-executive chair.
The investment was made by YFM's British Smaller Companies venture capital trusts, alongside ongoing support from Santander.

Founded in 2009 by Griff Holland and Ed Brown, Friska is a fast food restaurant specialising in takeaway and office catering, with a focus on healthy breakfasts and lunches. The company is based in Bristol and also operates in Birmingham and Luton Airport, with nine outlets in total.
