NorthEdge's Belfield bolts on Tetrad
Belfield Group, a Northedge Capital-backed manufacturer of upholstered furniture and home furnishings, has acquired Tetrad.
The acquisition is expected to enable Belfield to strengthen its services in the high-end upholstery design and manufacturing market. Tetrad will still operate its Preston facility and use its existing sales channels. The managing director of Tetrad, Janus Cooper, will remain in his role.
This is the third investment by the GP in the home furnishings sector since its acquisition of Solidor in November 2014. Belfield was acquired by NorthEdge Capital as part of a management buyout in July 2016 from its NorthEdge Capital Fund II, which reached a hard-cap of £300m.
Company
Tetrad is a manufacturer and designer of furniture and home furnishings. The company sells its products through retailers worldwide. It was founded in 1968, is based in Preston and generates revenues of £17m.
