GCP-backed Arrow acquires Worksmart
Growth Capital Partners (GCP) portfolio company Arrow Business Communications has bolted on healthcare- and financial-services-focused IT business Worksmart Technology.
The deal is the second acquisition made by Arrow since GCP backed the enterprise communications provider in September 2016. In March 2017, the company bolted on energy broker Pulse Business Energy.
At the time of GCP's initial investment, Arrow said the transaction included a "significant acquisition fund" to enable it to ramp up its existing acquisitive growth strategy. The business had previously made seven acquisitions over the preceding six years, including the bolt-on of Cambridge-based Comms-Solve in July 2016.
Company
Headquartered in London and founded in 2000, Worksmart is a provider of telephone and IT systems. The business has 350 customers primarily operating in the financial services and healthcare sectors.
