MMC leads £2.5m Peak series-A
MMC Ventures has led a ТЃ2.5m series-A round for Manchester-based data analytics company Peak.
The investment will be used to ramp up Peak's ongoing investment in machine learning and AI technologies. MMC now has four portfolio companies based in Manchester, the others being tyre-fitting service TyresOnTheDrive, payroll software developer SafeGuard, and online investment platform Interactive Investor.
The investment was made through MMC's EIS fund.
Previous funding
Peak has secured £3.5m in total. In 2016, it received £1m in seed funding from Pratetura Capital, a Manchester-based VC, to launch its subscription-based data analytics service. It then opened development centres in Manchester and Jaipur, India.

Peak was founded in 2014 and provides companies with data analytics. Its customers include the Economist, Morrisons and AstraZeneca, and it is based in Manchester.
