
ECI backs Make It Cheaper
ECI Partners has invested in Make It Cheaper, a London-based energy intermediary for SMEs.
The fresh capital will be used to scale up customer acquisition and increase the depth of services in energy, telecoms and insurance, according to a statement.
Make It Cheaper procured 60,000 energy contracts in 2016 and generated an operating profit of £1.62m from £12m in revenues, according to publicly available documents.
ECI is currently investing from ECI 10, a £500m vehicle that held a final close in September 2014.

Make It Cheaper was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in London. It negotiates energy contracts for UK-based small and medium-sized enterprises. The team has grown from five employees to 175 in the past 10 years. The company claims it saves its customers an average of 20% on their bills.
