Agathos acquires Vacgen from Scienta Scientific
Agathos Management has acquired UK-based ultra-high-vacuum (UHV) technology company Vacgen from Swedish vendor Scienta Scientific in a trade deal.
The deal sees the GP acquiring the vendor's UK-based manufacturing subsidiary. Scienta Scientific is a Swedish nanotechnology company that specialises in ultra-high-vacuum research and analysis.
Launched in January 2015, the Agathos fund focuses on UK SMEs with turnovers of up to £30m in a variety of sectors. It typically commits between £500,000-5m per transaction, usually investing £2-3m per portfolio company overall.
