Beringea leads £3m series-A for Aistemos
Beringea has led a £3m series-A for Aistemos, a London-based software firm.
The funding will support the expansion of Aistemos's core product, Cipher, as well as a range of other sector-specific products designed to allow businesses to access data about patented technology more easily.
It will aim its sector-specific products at areas experiencing technology disruption.
The investment is Beringea's fourth this year following MPB, an online marketplace for second-hand photography and film equipment; Poq, a developer of e-commerce apps; and online furniture retailer Mycs.
Company
Founded in 2013 and based in London, Aistemos is a provider of patent analytics software. Its core product, Cipher, uses machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms to classify, identify, and analyse patents that have traditionally involved IP specialists in a time-consuming process. The firm's customers include BAE Systems, ARM and ABB.
