LDC invests £10m in Linley & Simpson

The company has made 31 acquisitions over the course of the past 15 years, according to a statement issued by LDC, and has expanded its presence in north and west Yorkshire. It will remain focused on the Yorkshire region and will also invest in its technology following the GP's backing.

LDC investment director Gareth Marshall will take a seat on the Linley & Simpson board of directors following the deal, and former Country Holidays managing director Peter Chappelow has been appointed as non-executive chairperson.

Headquartered in Leeds and founded in 1997, Linley & Simpson is an estate agent operating from 11 regional branches. The company manages residential lettings and sales and has a headcount of 180. It generates a turnover of around £9m, according to the statement.
