
Eight Roads leads £14m series-B for Moneybox
Eight Roads Ventures has invested £14m in a series-B funding round for financial management software developer Moneybox.
Existing investors Oxford Capital Partners and Samos Investments also took part in the latest financing, bringing the company's total funding to date to £21.3m.
The fresh capital will be used to expand the team and build new products.
Previous funding
Samos took part in a $3m seed round led by Betfair in January 2016. Samos returned along with Oxford capital to invest a further $1.75m in July 2016.
Company
Moneybox is a developer of mobile software application that allows users to open and manage investment accounts. It lets users save through a combination of card transaction round-ups, weekly installments, payday boosts and one-off deposits. The firm claims to have been used by 100,000 people since launching two years ago, with the average customers investing £20 a week. It is headquartered in London.
