Exponent-backed Enva bolts on GP Green Recycling
Exponent Private Equity portfolio company Enva has bolted on Scottish organic waste recycling company GP Green Recycling.
The transaction comes 15 months after Exponent acquired Enva (then the environmental division of DCC) in an all-equity deal valuing the business at £219m.
Following the deal, GP Green will be incorporated into Enva's industrial and utilities division, while the company's founder, Jim Gilchrist, will retire.
Exponent is invested in Enva via its £1bn third fund, which held a final close in April 2015.
Company
Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Blantyre, South Lanarkshire, GP Green recycles organic waste materials into soil conditioner and compost. The business operates two recycling facilities.
