BGF injects £4.7m into Plantforce
BGF has invested £4.7m in Plantforce, a Bristol-based regional supplier of machinery to the construction and energy industries.
The company, whose clients include construction groups Kier, Costain, Balfour Beatty and BAM, will use the funding to support its acquisitive growth strategy.
The investment will enable Plantforce to diversify and expand its fleet, and also to continue to strengthen its service offering. It is one of a small number of contractors to hold approved-supplier status for both nuclear sites and network rail.
According to Plantforce, it is currently the largest supplier of specialist equipment for the construction of Hinkley Point C, the latest nuclear power station providing low-carbon electricity across the south-west of the UK.
Company
Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Bristol, Plantforce is a heavy equipment rental service. It operates from four depots in Bristol, Exeter, Bridgwater and Birmingham. Plantforce focuses on providing bespoke services across all sectors of the construction industry, including skilled operators and 24-hour customer support.
