ADV leads £3m series-A for Healthera
Accelerated Digital Ventures (ADV) has led a £3m series-A funding round for Healthera, a Cambridge-based digital health platform.
Previous backer Cambridge Enterprise and newcomer Future Care Capital also took part in the funding.
The company will use the fresh capital to scale up its operations across the UK, widen its product line and accelerate its commercialisation. In addition, it plans to expand into OTC's, data-led primary care, and real-world pharmaceutical insight, according to a statement.
Previous funding
Healthera raised pre-seed funding in 2015 and was backed by Silicon Valley-based business incubator Founder.org. Subsequently, it raised a seed funding round from Cambridge Enterprise.
Company
Healthera is a digital health platform that develops and markets an NHS-approved application able to connect patients to a network of pharmacies and doctors. The platform allows users to order and manage their prescriptions, access clinical services, and monitor their medication intake.
The company was founded in 2015 by Cambridge alumni Quintus Liu, Martin Hao and Jin Dai during their last year of study, and was commercially launched in 2017. It now connects tens of thousands of patients to 800 pharmacies and doctors.
